South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill is deciding South Australia's energy future now. He can either decide to back 24 hour solar thermal power in Port Augusta creating new jobs beyond coal or gas.

At a press conference in response to a power outage in South Australia Premier Weatherill strongly indicated the Government was leaning to gas. Premier Weatherill said "One of the things that I noticed we have been called on to do today, we are already doing, that is taking our energy out to the market and requiring that energy to be supplied by somebody that can bring new generation here to South Australia so that we can have secure, reliable likely gas-fired generation that will back up our renewable energy". This is a clear indication the Premier could choose gas.

Email Premier Weatherill now and urge him to back a real long term solution for South Australia. This is something the Port Augusta community and people across SA have called for for years. It's time for Premier Weatherill to make solar thermal happen and for Prime Minister Turnbull to deliver the promised Federal funds.
